Hewlett Foundation

The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation is a nonpartisan, private charitable foundation that advances ideas and supports institutions to promote a better world. They run long-standing grant programs that focus on education, environment, gender equity and governance, performing arts, and effective philanthropy, as well as support for disadvantaged communities in the San Francisco Bay Area.  As the creative director of record for Hewlett’s digital presence, I lead a team of designers and developers. My responsibilities range from the development of community-focused social media campaigns to the oversight of their main grant database experience.

Case Study: Future of the Performing Arts Toolkit — The Future of the Performing Arts social media campaign toolkit was developed in 2023 in order to lift up the voices of Bay Area performing arts community and shine a spotlight on the bright ideas performers envisions for the future. We collaborated in crafting their central messaging, which included prompts and a lead hashtag, as well as designing a customizable suite of graphics for various social media templates (Instagram, Twitter, TikTok) on the platform Canva so that all performing arts organizations and individual performers could participate in sharing their vision across different channels free of charge.
